About Us

Our Story

Twin Peter, the founder’s twin, passed away on May 14, 1999. A decade later, the Twins Alive Foundation was established, officially inaugurated on May 16, 2009, at Monty Suites Hotel in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, with the mission of supporting twins and individuals from multiple births.

The foundation has awarded numerous scholarships to deserving families and provided food and clothing to underserved communities.

Additionally, a commemorative statue honoring Mary Slessor was erected at her last residence in Use Ikot Oku, marking the first such tribute to her in Akwa Ibom State. The foundation also conducts annual visits to Mary Slessor’s tomb in Calabar, Cross River State, and her cairn in Use Ikot Oku village, Ibiono, Akwa Ibom State, along with memorial thanksgiving services in her honor.

The foundation was incorporated as Best & Friends Twins Alive Foundation on January 5, 2011.

What we do

To give hope to that helpless child, assist in sustaining the early live of the twins/multiple births.

We aim to reduce the high mortality rate of twins and multiple births during delivery by ensuring timely medication administration.

We’ve built strong partnerships with state hospitals and primary health centers to collaborate with their management.

Statistics show that many twins die when families can’t access timely medical care, and families with multiple births face significant psychosocial challenges. Caring for these twins adds to the stress.
